Win for Kevin Betsy’s Red Devils in the Carabao Cup was ‘amazing’

Kevin Betsy, the Seychelles-born manager of Crawley Town, was delighted with his team’s “amazing” cup victory over his former club, Fulham.
The Red Devils beat Fulham 2-0 in the Carabao Cup… and over-joyed fans ran on to the pitch at Broadfield Stadium to celebrate.
Kevin, the son of former Seychelles captain Lewis Betsy, said afterwards: “It was an amazing performance from the players tonight.”
To beat Fulham, a Premier League side 84 positions above League Two Crawley, he said, was “unbelievable”.
Lewis, publisher of Seychelles Life, said: “We are all so proud of him.
“History was made last night at Crawley Town FC when they thrashed the mighty Premiership side Fulham 2-0.
“It is an amazing story as Kevin started his football career at Fulham when he was bought from Woking by Kevin Keegan.”
The win, the second round in the cup, came after the disappointment of the West Sussex club having lost four of their five league matches so far this season.
But Kevin said: "What we have done is phenomenal. We had a plan of how we wanted to play and that will be our blueprint going forward. This club will go from strength to strength.”
