Let us have love, peace and unity this Christmas

Greetings of the season to you all.
So many things are said at this time of year that are meant to be joyful, but are just empty words. I too have a message this Christmas and I will get straight to the point.
At this moment of promoting religious peace and love we should equally stress the need for unity in our beautiful homeland.
There are so many divisions in politics at the moment and it has left people struggling and wondering how we will ever resolve our problems.
With the elections coming next year we need to focus. We need to make sure everyone is engaged in looking for a smarter way forward.
Seychelles needs a new vision and this must be matched with national unity because that is what the country is missing.
Right now, there are many calls for a new leader, but whoever we choose must champion the needs of harmony and it must be someone who can unite the people.
Christmas and New Year is a time for goodwill, prayers and hope, so let us make 2025 a year that helps Seychelles become a tolerant, more unified place.
We should, of course, still enjoy the festivities and, with that in mind, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
