John Lablache joins the Seychelles Life team
John Lablache, an experienced journalist who has kept his eye on events in Seychelles for five decades, is to write for Seychelles Life.
John studied at Seychelles College and took up journalism in 1977 joining Radio News of Radio Seychelles. He later moved on to “Seychelles Nation”, then the country’s only publication, where he remained until 1991.
John, who was on attachments to newspapers in Strasbourg, France, Algeria and then East Germany, writes in both English and French.
With the return of multi-party rule, he joined the staff of “Regar” an opposition weekly and left in 2007.
Married with two sons and two daughters, John, 62, has since worked for almost every paper in the country including “Today in Seychelles” and “Victoria Times”.
Lewis Betsy, publisher of Seychelles Life, said: “We are delighted to have John Lablache on board.”
